imma certified servant of God...
hey pipz it's been a while since my last post... I was pretty busy at work but the reason was actually something better... I joined this Christian Life Program of CFC-Singles for Christ and im proud to say that I am now a certified member of this Christ-centered group, graduated last April 21, 2006, got my SFC kits (loved the car sticker, see our ride...), already have what they call a household and attended the unit fellowship @ the infamous Khalifa park last Monday (24.04.06)...
The Team...I am (once again) a member of a service team, a team that serves God in any way possible utilizing wisdom, talents, time and dedication to glorify and magnify God's name, to make His Word make known to people, and to gather as a group in fellowship with the Lord...
The decision... second thoughts?... never had it. Janice invited me to attend CLP and I was like... OWSSS Talaga? SFC member ka? sali ako, sige na please??? although i missed i guess 2 fridays... The willingness to attend the Fridays after that never seems to cease in me...
Reliving the Moment... and so there I was... a participant... a CLP attendee... a new sheep to be renewed and aspiring to be among the herd... I had been once a sheep trying to belong in a new herd, once a participant and then eventually "I belonged" ... in that 8 consecutive Fridays or so, it was as if I am reliving the times I had when I first joined a Christian community back home... Sons And Daughters Encounter (SADE)... I had the time of my life when I became sa SADER... "a community of young believers that renders services to the Church and fellow youths.. Enlightened with a visi0n to set true Christian example, and a mission to proclaim the Gospel of the Lord..." See link: http://www.friendster.com/user.php?uid=9268969
Missed Those Days... as I am gaining new friends in SFC and of course learning new things and not to mention nurturing my spiritual relationship with God, I can't help but i missed those similar days back home along with my co-Saders...
The our Sade-Binhi 3 day retreat... in total we are 17 batches already and I am one of the 12th batch and from 13-17 batches, I am called to serve God and be among the TLs... in the process, I got to serve God and the community in full time basis, my studies coming second, my family as third, and at the same time I have gained true and lasting friendsips with other team leaders and auxis..
The sleepless nights during parish events...
The musical Lenten presentation... (Jesus..Jesus..)
Mnsgr. Macario Manahan, Rev. Fr. Boy Cruz, Rev. Father Nap
Central Luzon Youth Pilgrimage (CLYP)in which i fostered hazel of PCY - Sta.Maria Bulacan
National Shrine of St. Anne Feast Day (and of course there's the PAGODA, never missed it)
11 am Sunday Mass.. with fellow 'songers' (Siempre Johndick's stare at Ybeth and me, "hinde kase kanta, kwento lang"), and the youth mass once a month!!
the never ending lakads, events, gawain, activities, extra gimmicks and everything under the sun that needs "SADE service"
indeed there a lot of things in SADE, but you know, in a personal level (speaking for myself only) it’s not enough for me, I want a more serious relationship with God and at the same time serve Him in the light of my deep relationship with Him and not because I am "asked" to do so...
The Expectation... and so SFC, they asked during the first talks, "what do we expect from SFC" I replied I want a deeper and mature relationship with God which I wasn't able to achieve in my first community (nothing against it, i love Sade)... and i am very glad that SFC really offers and will instill in each and every member what i have been expecting all along...
Looking forward... as a new SFC member , I am looking forward to a lot of meetings with my household and eventually, I am hoping, through their help and example I myy be able to achieve my goal...
